# Slack and Telegram

> Get your daily digest and right-away pings in a Slack channel or a Telegram chat, and act on new people from there.

Connect Slack or Telegram when you want your B2B Signals updates where you already read messages. Each member connects their own channels, and a channel gets only that member's digest and pings.

Data moves from B2B Signals to Slack or Telegram. In Telegram, the buttons on a message also act back in B2B Signals.

## What reaches the channel

| What | When |
| - | - |
| Your daily digest | Once a day, when your digest is due. Sections: New people, Replies, Messages to approve |
| Right-away pings you turned on | "Someone replies", "A sender needs to reconnect", "A campaign pauses on its own", "You get close to your monthly limit" |

You choose the digest time and which pings you get in **Settings** › **Notifications**. See [Notifications](https://docs.b2bsignals.ai/settings/notifications.md).

## Connect Slack

**1. Make a webhook address in Slack**

In Slack, add the Incoming Webhooks app to the channel you want. Copy its address. It starts with `https://hooks.slack.com/`.

**2. Open Notifications**

Open **Settings**, then **Notifications**, and press **Add Slack or Telegram**.

**3. Paste the address**

Choose Slack. Paste the address into **Slack webhook address**. **Name (optional)** helps you tell channels apart, up to 60 characters.

Add Slack or Telegram, Slack chosen: paste the Slack webhook address, add a name if you want, then press Connect Slack.

**4. Connect**

Press **Connect Slack**. We post "Connected. B2B Signals will post" followed by your workspace's name in the channel. The channel is kept only if Slack accepts that post.

If Slack refuses, you see "Slack didn't accept that webhook. Check the URL and try again." Check that you copied the whole address.

## Connect Telegram

**1. Open Notifications**

Open **Settings**, then **Notifications**, and press **Add Slack or Telegram**. Choose Telegram.

**2. Open our bot**

Press **Open Telegram**. Telegram opens our bot. The link works once, for 15 minutes.

**3. Press Start**

Press Start in Telegram. The bot answers that the chat is connected, and the window in B2B Signals closes on its own. If Telegram didn't open, press **Open Telegram again**.

If you see "Telegram isn't available yet. Slack and email work now.", use Slack or email for now.

A Telegram chat can belong to one member of a workspace. If someone else in the workspace already connected that chat, the bot says so. They send `/stop` there first.

## Act from the message

| In | What the buttons do |
| - | - |
| Telegram | **Good fit** and **Not a fit** mark the person at once, in the chat. **Undo** takes it back |
| Slack | The buttons open a page in your browser where you confirm |

## Your channels

* A new channel gets your daily digest straight away.
* You can have up to 5 channels. To add a sixth, disconnect one first. Otherwise you see "Disconnect a channel before adding another."
* Open a channel's menu and press **Send a test** to check that it still works.

## When a channel stops working

| What happens | What we do |
| - | - |
| The Slack webhook was deleted or its channel archived | We disconnect the channel |
| You blocked the bot in Telegram | We disconnect the channel |
| Slack or Telegram had a short problem | We keep the channel and note the error. The next message tries again |

Your email digest keeps working either way.

## Disconnect

In **Settings** › **Notifications**, open the channel's menu and press **Disconnect**. For Slack, we forget the webhook address. In Telegram, you can also send `/stop` to the bot. That disconnects every channel linked to that chat.
