A watchlist follows companies and people you already know. We tell you when they hire, raise money, post or change jobs. Use a watchlist when you know who you want to reach. Use Radar when you want new people found for you.

Who can use watchlists

Watchlists aren’t part of the Free plan. If your plan doesn’t include them, Sources says “Watchlists aren’t part of your plan.” with a See plans link. Each company you watch counts toward your plan, across all your watchlists. Rows that didn’t match aren’t watched and don’t count. If a request would go over your limit, we refuse the whole request and tell you how many slots are left. Remove companies from a watchlist or upgrade your plan to add more. See Plans.

Create a watchlist

Creating a watchlist sends nothing to anyone.
1

Start

Open Sources, press Add a source, then Watchlist. Give it a name.
2

Add companies or people

Pick one way in. See the table below. Nothing is watched until you confirm.
3

Confirm matches

We match each line. You can continue now and fix the rest later from the watchlist.
4

Choose what to watch for

Untick anything you don’t care about. If you have a Radar, we pick these from your brief.
New watchlist step 3 with Job changes, Hiring, Funding, Posts and News ticked, and Create watchlist on the right

Step 3 of 3: tick the moments that count as news for these companies.

5

Create it

Press Create watchlist, then Open the watchlist. The first check runs on its own.
People without a profile link aren’t watched.

What it can watch for

Under More options, How often we check is Every week by default. Every month uses less of your plan. To change this later, press Edit what we watch on the watchlist. Changes apply from the next check.

Read a watchlist

A watchlist has three tabs: Events, Companies and People. Events lists what happened. Each event is tagged Worth a message or Good to know. Quiet is normal. Most weeks most companies have no news. If you see No events yet, either nothing has happened or the first check hasn’t run. Companies shows each company, the people we track there and the latest news. From a company’s menu, See its events filters to that company and Stop watching removes it. Known from your people lists companies where people you watch work, so you can press Watch to follow them too. People shows who you’re watching. To add more, paste their LinkedIn page, a comma and their full name, one person per line. The latest state in the watchlist list means:

Check now

Open the ⋯ menu and press Check now. The dialog shows about how many checks it takes and how long. Checks are included in your plan. You can check only some signals. If it was checked recently, most companies won’t have news yet. You can’t check a paused watchlist, or one with nothing in it. The dialog tells you which.

Fix rows that didn’t match

Open the ⋯ menu and press Fix unmatched rows. A website alone often can’t be matched, so add the company name with it, or paste a LinkedIn page.

Settings

Open the ⋯ menu and press Settings. Only the workspace owner or an admin can change this.

How people reach a campaign

Watchlists behave differently from Radar. A person who lands on a watchlist’s list joins any live campaign that runs on that list and takes new people, without you marking them, unless review is on for that watchlist. Check this before you connect a campaign to a watchlist’s list.
With review on, they wait in To review and join only after you mark them Good fit. The built-in watchlists “People who accepted your invites” and “From your network” don’t put people into campaigns this way.

Pause or delete

Open the ⋯ menu and press Pause watchlist. Nothing is checked until you press Resume watchlist. Pausing Radar doesn’t pause watchlists. Delete… asks you to type the name. We stop checking it and remove its companies, people and event history. People it already found stay in People. Deleting can’t be undone. The built-in watchlists can’t be paused or deleted.

Weekly recap

From the ⋯ menu, Weekly recap turns on an email on Mondays that covers your sources, watchlists and campaigns.
